1) Please advise difference between part numbers S9S12GN32F0VFT and G9S12GN32F0VFT?
They are both included in the website but cannot find info in the datasheet for the prefix "G".
Please see link:
https://www.nxp.com/part/G9S12GN32F0VFT#/
2) Please advise what is the "G" meaning in the top marking.
Please refer to photo for reference. Thanks
Hi,
There was a PCN published, I can not remember number now but....
In past all devices used gold wires for bonding to pins. From some time we have started to use Copper. However, there was still requirement for gold.
The automotive devices with gold are labeled as Gxxxxx and with copper as Sxxxxx. Devices which starts with MC (general devices) are mask independent (if you order you can get any mask available in store) and also bonding is not defined.
Best regards,
Ladislav
Dear Lama,
The marking is correct and valid. And the difference for S9S12GN32F0VFT and G9S12GN32F0VFT are only Gold and Copper, they have the same functions and no technical related issues? Please confirm.
Thanks
Hi,
there is no any difference in these devices just gold and copper. They have the same mask set code F0 which is code for mask set 0N48A which defines features and errata list.
Best regards,
Ladislav
