S12XE & Plug-in support within Eclipse environment

Hi,

At NXP web page for "DEVKIT-S12XE: Development Board for 9S12XEP100 MCU Evaluation", at "Get software" there is a reference about "Plug-in support within Eclipse environment"

Is it true that there is a plug in for eclipse or is it typographic error?

Hi Eric,

You are right, it is typographic error (copy from previous pages).

The "Plug-in support within Eclipse environment" and “True debug support via JTAG and SWD” is obviously nonsense for S12XE family.

The S12XE family is supported by CW for HCS12 V5.x (Classic IDE) and debugged through BDM.

Even the current version of CW is CW5.2.

Since CW5.1 is already several years old, I would like to strongly recommend install also available updates and patches prior serious use.
