Reset assert time for S12ZNML/S12ZVMBA

Hi,

Want to know the minimum reset assert time on Reset pin for the MCU to execute reset for S12ZVML and S12ZVMBA.

Basically want to design the correct RC values for reset circuit: any guidelines on this?

I found some timing values related to Reset pin in the datasheet (attachment photo, highlighted terms), please explain them.

Hi,

There is an internal RC filter which is characterized with the RP_MASK and RP_PASS values. Pulses smaller than 12ns are filtered, pulses greater than 22ns are not filtered. The internal RC filter is subject to some variance so pulses with a length between 12 and 22ns may or may not reset the device.

If you need your own RC filter, make sure that the reset pulse last less then 24us, as the Hardware Design Guidelines for S12ZVM Microcontrollers (AN5207) explains.
