is there a special bit to activate the differential mode of the ISense input?

Hi,

No, by setting the CMEN bit (when CMENM = 1) the differential mode is activated automatically, the current is measured by measuring the voltage drop over an external shunt resistor connected to ISENSEH and ISENSEL.
