eTSEC1 down on P1020MBG-PC

Hello,

I just have started P1020 eval with a P1020MBG-PC.

I achieved to execute p1020MBG.pl.full script, eTSEC1 interface was working well.

At the end, VortiQa software has not been installed.

Now, it seems that eTSEC1 doesn't work anymore: link stays down on all ports of the switch.

Is it due to the update I did, or is it a physical issue ?

How can I solve this ?

Would you please share your test script p1020MBG.pl.full?

What Software and which version do you use on the target board?

What kind of update did you do? Are you customizing your own board?

Would you please provide eTSEC1 test log(the whole log including board boot up section)?

Hello Yipping,

it was all software delivered with the P1020MBG-PC kit, on a USB key.

I found the issue and fixed it: the switch firmware was corrupted or erased (maybe an erroneous erase on flash).

I found the vsc2bin and flashed it, and now switch is up and running again.

i have the same issue with my P1020RDB-PC board,the firmware switch was erased because of NOR flash erased,

i also flash vsc2bin in nor but after this also switch is not up,its showing like Phy Not found.

please tell me which steps you followed for this.

Hi Hiren,

It’s a long time ago and I don’t remember precisely which file must be flashed at which adress. But I remember I recovered the switch by flashing the switch firmware. If you take a look at the doc accompanying the board, you should find the answer.
