MC33816 current filter in asynchronous mode

Hi!

When running the DC-DC converter on MC33816 in asynchronous mode, is the internal circuitry applying filtering using registers values "filter_length_4l" and "filter_length_4h"?

Reference manual says "The six current feedbacks are filtered before feeding them to the microcore" about the current filter registers. That together with results from our experiments suggests that filters are only applied when reading current sensors from microcode, but it would nice to have that confirmed so that we can eliminate incorrect configuration as an explanation for the behavior we're seeing.

Hello Johrehn,

This is true, it is not included in our data sheet, it comes from an internal document.

Cordially,

Philippe

Hello Tomas,

I can confirm that unfiltered comparator outputs are used for the asynchonous mode of operation, as shown in enclosed picture.

Cordially,
Philippe

Thank you Philippe.

From which document is the picture taken? I did not see it when reading the reference manual.
