Set FS26 To Normal Mode

Hello Community,
I want to set the FS26 sbc in the normal mode, currently it is in the "Safety Output not released" state.

I did the procedure according to the datasheet:
got the FLT_ERR_CNT To 0 (read the FS_I_FSSM register to verify it), and followed the procedure to write RELEASE_FS0B_FS1B[15:0].

But still, the SBC is in the "Safety Output not released" state.

Did I forget a step here? Is there anything I can check?

Hello,

I hope all is great with you. Thank you for using the NXP communities.

Could you please confirm that you have done the procedures below?

  1. Write all INIT_FS registers To configure Safety outputs reaction and configure Watchdog
  2. Close INIT FS with x1 good Watchdog refresh
  3. Are ABIST = OK and LBIST = OK?

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

David

Hi David,
Step1 is OK
Step2 also OK
Step3 also OK

Is there any timing requirements, that I have to wait a certain amount of time before I write a register or something like that ? because it looks all the steps are done correctly but still the output is not released?
Could it be because i m still in debug mode?

Hello,

The below diagram provides high level flow chart to enter Normal mode in the application.

Please note that INT_FS windows is 256ms and after that, a WD refresh is required.

David

Hello,
I noticed that the Debug mode is set, and I have to exit the Debug mode to get to the normal mode.
I have to test that and see if it will work, meanwhile, is there a command to put the SBC in Init state again ? or only a reset will do that ?

Hello,

I am pleased to know that your device is in Normal mode as requested.

Do you mean going to INIT_FS from normal mode?

The below diagram provides high level flow chart to enter normal mode in the application.

Based on the diagram above, you are correct, a reset is needed.

David
