Hello

I would like know with NXP experts if NPX has any solution(IC, application note, circuit, ...) to drive Piezo Injector of Direct Injection for Gasoline Internal Combustion engine?

My intention is develop a driver circuit for a stand alone tester for DI Fuel Injectors with Piezo Architecture.

Note:

I saw PT2000 IC, is very interesting IC, but in my opinion can't drive a Piezo Injector more than 72V.

Best Regards.

Marco Broglia.

Helio G. W. Sun.

No, according PT2000 datasheet:

VBOOST <=72V.

Piezoelectric Injector needs 120V to activate piezo elements and probably more than 8A(depends the number of piezo elements, and capacitance of each element), PT2000 is not enough to drive Peizo Injectors.

Probably I need a DCDC boost that store more than 900W, and internal feedback to IC must read more than 120V.

If someone has a proposal to solve this problem, I am happy to know.

Best Regards

Hello
I'm in the same problem.
I'm studying the control algorithm for piezo injectors in college. I found a good IC, PT2000, but it cannot be used due to the conditions of Vboost <=72. I have to meet Vboost conditions above 120V.
Did you find any suitable solution?
If possible, could you share it with me?

Best Regards

HI

Do you mean the battery voltage input up to 72V support?
