For system integrator, we don't need care and implement the SM38,SM42,SM43, because these safety mechanism is detected automatically. Also these safety mechanism don't any SIR in safety manual.

Hi Charlie,

Yes, these safety mechanisms are detected automatically, meaning no additional implementation is required from the system integrator. They do not have associated SIR – implying that they do not require explicit integration efforts from the system perspective.

Hi Tomas,

Thanks a lot for your professional feedback, i understand how to choose the safety mechanism to implement.
And i also find that some SIR is not mapping to SM in safety manual. If it is necessary for system integrator to implement these SIR, such as SIR_07 of chapter 5.1.4 I2C commination. SIR_07 has no impact to SM39. SIR_07:It is the responsibility of of the system integrator to enable secure write function on I2C communication.

Hi Charlie,

Since SIR_07 is a system-level responsibility, you must implement measures to ensure secure I2C communication beyond what PF502x does automatically. The lack of direct mapping to an SM does not mean it can be ignored. Instead, it requires active integration effort.
