Hi,

Since we currently encounter a trouble with the Java license, we would like to know whether the FS8530 FlexGUI is also working with Prebuilt OpenSDK (Eclipse Temurin) from Adoptium ?

Thanks.

BL

Hi Bien,

Adoptium OpenJDK build version 8 (LTS) can also be used for the FS85 GUI, see:

https://adoptium.net/?variant=openjdk8&jvmVariant=hotspot

It is important to choose an OpenJDK build that also contains JavaFX modules, such as Azul, Belsoft Liberica, Amazon Correto or Eclipse Temurin.

Best regards,

Tomas

Hi Tomas,

thanks for the quick response.

I'm using the "jre-8.0.312.7-hotspot" from Eclipse Temurin. However when running the "flexgui-app-spm.bat" file, it does not do anything.

I had this problem before and solved it by setting "JAVA_HOME" variable to correct path. As described here: https://community.nxp.com/t5/Power-Management/FlexGUI-for-FS85-FS84-Evaluation-Tools-quot-bat-quot-f...

Now even though I have set the "JAVA_HOME" variable to "C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\jre-8.0.312.7-hotspot", "flexgui-app-spm.bat" file still does nothing.

Do you have an idea what could went wrong?

Thanks,

BL
