FS27 OTP Configuration

Dear NXP Support Team,

I am currently working with the FS27 SBC chip, specifically part number: PFS2702AMD A0 CTDWWG. According to the datasheet, this part is identified as a Blank prototype version. Consequently, the OTP configurations embedded in the chip are unknown to me, including critical parameters such as the communication interface selection (SPI or I2C).

Could you please clarify the following points:

  1. How can I determine whether my FS27 chip communicates via SPI or I2C, given that this setting is determined by the OTP configuration?

  2. Does the NXP GUI tool currently support the FS27 chip family, specifically the version I mentioned?

  3. Is it possible for an end-user like myself to program the OTP bits of the FS27 chip? If so, could you please provide guidance or documentation on the programming process?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

Hello Ali,

1. In the A0 non-programmed version, the default communication is I2C (SPI_EN_OTP = 0).

2. Please use the GUI available on the FS27 product website. Note that it is under controlled release, accessible under NDA via Secure files. Also make sure you are signed in to nxp.com.

3. For OTP programming, please use the KITFS27SKTEVM and the KITFS27SKTEVM User Manual also available on the FS27 product website via Secure files.

Hi Tomas,

Thank you for your detailed response.

Additionally, I have another question: If the FS27 chip mounted on the PCB is indeed blank (no OTP configuration), is it possible for me to program its OTP configuration via an SPI interface or how?

Thanks again for your assistance.

Best regards,
