Security Engine inside P5040

Hi,

We're using P5040 QorIQ Integrated Multicore Communication Processor in our products.  According to P5040 manual, there is a security engine inside P5040, and we'd like to use i as Random Number Generator.  Is there any application note for the security engine using ?

There is separate P5040 Security (SEC) Reference Manual on the P5040 web page

There are application notes for the SEC 2.0 and SEC 3.x but it is not so useful because the P5040 has SEC rev. 4.2. You can search for the security training courses on the NXP site. For example see “Introduction to Security Acceleration in QorIQ Processors”
