Hi,

I have a question regarding P1020RDB-PD board - will replacing the board's P1020 CPU micro with clean(out of the box) chip affect the boot sequence of the device? How is the board configured to start executing U Boot from NOR flash? Is it a hardware configuration?

Thanks.

What exactly do you mean, considering that the processor on the RDB board is soldered?

By means of the on-board configuration switches.

I know, I meant actually re-soldering micro on the board.

So, if the configuration switches SW3 are not changed, re-soldering CPU will not affect the boot sequence, correct?

Correct, if the processor of the same or higher speed grade is installed.
