In my custom wireless power receiver board using MWPR1516. I have a problem: after connecting the battery and attempting to charge it wirelessly for a few seconds, the power abruptly shuts off. Then I looked at the transmitter fault, which stated "Abrupt End of Power Transfer(EPT) initiated by the receiver." Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I just add a series resistor with the battery then the power reception from the coil takes place. Then I reduce the value of the resistor up to a minimum of 0.4 Ohms(Only the lowest value in hand) and the power transfer still takes place. The measured voltage across the series 0.4 Ohm resistor was 1.48V.
Additionally what changes I will need in the MWPR1516 demo application for achieving the 15W wireless charging? because I am suspecting the issue is related to the OCP or over-temperature.
You can refer to user guide for better understand and use it:
"Is there any issue with using the CodeWarrior free trial and the MWPR1516 software package provided by NXP? Because now I'm using this combination.
Do you change any transmitter board to try?
Is there any specification for coil
Yes, I tried 3 different transmitters.
