Hello,

The OSBDM08 doesn't do trim like the P&E does.  That is a shame but so be it.

I have checked a half dozen new 9S08QG8's and a couple of 9S08SH8's.  The factory trim on the new parts seem to be quite accurate,  However, when you load your program into the MPU the first thing Code Warrior does is a mass erase which removes the factory trim from NVICSTRM ($FFAF).

Anyone know a work around other than changing your source code for each different chip?

Hi Roger,

If you use the Load button from within the Flash dialogue the programme actually does what it is told rather than what it thinks is best.
Its a pity they could not provide a bit more control for the less stupid amongst us.

Hi Peg,

You would think looking at the Load Screen Box that you could uncheck the box and load code without doing a mass erase first but it's not true.  It doesn't work for Flash; it does work if you are just loading a small program into RAM, however.

Hi Roger,

I think you have misunderstood me.
Under the OSBDM menu in Hiwave don't use the Load menu item but Flash.
Then in the Flash dialogue that comes up use the Load button there.
This one just programmes without checking for blank or auto-erasing.
