dll that provide an API for using the BDM interface??

Hi,

I am using a microcontroller of the HCS12 familly and I am wondering is if there is available a dynamic-link library (.dll) that provide an Applications Programming Interface (API) for using the Background Debuger Module(BDM) interface.

I already have a a cable to connect the PC via serial to the BDM port in the microcontroller, and I use it with the debugger that the codewarrior has, but what I need is that instead of using the debugger available in the codewarrior, integrate some of the debugger capabilities in a different program.

Yes, I am using a different cable, a USB BDM Multilink cable from P&E Micro.

The API for the TBDML is described in the Zip file in the first posting of this thread:

However, it doesn't sound like you are using a TBDML cable (it's USB not serial)?  If not then I would suggest you post in the Codewarrior forums rather than here as you are more likely to receive a useful response.  Also identify the cable you are using as the interface DLL would vary.  AFAIK there isn't a higher-level more uniform API available.
