Freescale's Digital Networking products (e.g., QorIQ, QorlQ Qonverge, C29x and Layerscape architecture) incorporate a high-performance cryptosecurity engine called the SEC. In this session, we provide a brief overview of the SEC hardware capabilities, then cover the SEC's programming model, virtualization capabilities and supporting enablement in the SDK, including the SEC Descriptor RunTime Assembler, use within Linux® kernel and user space for IPsec and SSL. Examples will be provided for QorIQ and the C29x public key co-processor. The SEC enablement roadmap for the SDK will also be discussed. Presented by Geoff Waters Presented at DwF Silicon Valley - March 26, 2015 Session ID: AMF-SNT-T1008

Sensors are a primary source of data for IoT and are becoming more and more pervasive. In this session we will cover what these main requirements are and the challenges designing a sensor IoT node: How to reduce power consumption and size? How Freescale is ideally positioned to make the difference. Should the sensor simply collect and send raw data or do we need more embedded processing at the IoT node? There is no single approach, we will cover the pro and cons per application. In the tornado of IoT market demand, which applications should we target with Freescale sensors to win? Beside the presentation the audience will be updated on the latest key sensor solutions with live sensor demos that make the difference allowing us to win in the Iot market. Presented by Emmanuel Carcenac Presented at DwF Istanbul - May 12, 2015 Session ID: EUF-IND-T1477

The news of the past year hasn’t been encouraging for those who wished cyberspace would avoid becoming a geopolitical battleground. It is now confirmed that national governments are exploiting weaknesses in network infrastructure and end point security to conduct cyber surveillance and disrupt the operations of networks and other critical infrastructure. But with QorIQ platforms, embedded systems designers can do more than throw up their hands and surrender. QorIQ products include features like secure boot, which OEMs can use to make it significantly harder for their systems to be hacked. This session will briefly describe the threats which the Trust Architecture is intended to address and provide an overview the features and methods it uses to resist hacks. Presented by Geoff Waters Presented at DwF Silicon Valley - March 26, 2015 Session ID: AMF-SNT-T1041
