We are designing a board to be used in automotive electronics. Our current MCU is S32K116 and planning to use an NXP NFC module. NFC module will only be used for card(credit cards, ID cards etc.) detection (not be used in tag write operations in any way). So I am searching for a module that will be suitable for our use cases.
I am new to NFC applications and I do not have much knowledge about this field. Any information will be appreciated!
I learned that NXP has NFC Reader Library for NFC frontend solutions. I was wondering that supported products(PN7xxx, PN5xxx family NFC modules) are auto-grade modules and can be used in automotive electronics? If so, which module would you suggest that would be best to use with S32K116?
I found that there is an Automotive NFC Stack to be used with NCx3340 NFC controller and S32K14x devices. And in release notes there is an information like this "The NFC stack example is only for S32K144 and S32K118 devices". So my guess would be, this stacks could not be used with S32K116. What is the main reason that S32K116 can not be used with Automotive NFC Stack? Can this MCU be used with any auto-grade NXP NFC module in automotive applications? If answer is no, which MCU and NFC module would you suggest to choose?
