Hi NXP,

Does PN7150 support pairing BLE devices through NFC OOB (out of band) in andoird?

Thank you.

Hello @Karyliu

Hope you are doing well.

Please consider that PN7150 is Not Recommended for New Designs; we recommend using PN7160 instead.

Out Of Band through NFC requires to distribute the keys through a specific NDEF structure, which is defined by NFC Forum. PN7150 would be able to read the pairing information from an NFC tag and provide it to the BLE device.

On the other side, PN7150 supports Card Emulation (from host), which should allow to expose the OOB data via the NDEF content by emulating an NFC Forum Type 4 Tag.

Regards,
Eduardo.
