OM27462CDKP development kit

I am planning to order OM27462CDKP development board. Can anyone please provide quick start guide, and user manual  for the same? And any additional boards  required along with OM27462CDKP  to develop and test NFC features as per CCC requirements

Thank you very much for your interest in our products.

The OM27462CDKP is a development kit that includes everything you need to start testing and developing NFC related features. Among the contents you will find a PNEV7462C, an evaluation board that is based on the PN7462AU chip which is a one-chip solution that already includes a Host and a Front-End NFC all in the same IC.

You will also find Sample NFC cards and tags so you can test their features along with the reader.  The kit also includes an LPC-Link 2 debug adapter (OM13054) in order for the board to work with the MCUXpresso IDE and the NFC Reader Library for the PN7462AU which includes code examples to make testing and developing easier.

You can check out the PN7462 family Quick Start Guide in order to find a detailed description on how to start working with the kit and all of its features. You may also refer to the PN7462 Family Data Sheet to find out more about the chip itself.

One more clarification , do we need any additional board along with OM27462CDKP development kit to work with all sample applications provided "PN7462AU FW and SW Examples Full Version - v06.10.00"

In order to work with the code examples provided within the library you would only need the following components:

These are all included in the OM27462CDKP development kit (which contains the PNEV7462C version of the board), so there is no need for additional hardware.

Keep in mind that "PN7462AU FW and SW Examples Full Version - v06.10.00" is an older version of the library, we recommend using the most recent version of the software which is available for download here: NFC Reader Library | NXP Semiconductors.

One more clarification , is the development kit has SecureElement in it , if not please recomment an development board with Secure-Element to integrate with.

The development kit in question does not include a Secure Element, however you can take a look at our IoT Secure Elements and Authenticators Portfolio, in which you will find NXP EdgeLock® secure elements (SE) and secure authenticators (SA), for which there are development kits available, found in each product page under "Design Resources".

You may also consider checking out the PN7642 product page which is a single chip solution that already includes a Host and a Front-End NFC similar to the PN7462AU, and it replaces the need for an extra MCU and dedicated Secure Element. You may find the corresponding Development Kit and other useful hardware testing resources for this chip in the product page under "Design Resources".

Good Day! Thanks you for your support.

As you suggested I found OM27642 kit , whether the chip comes with NFC sample cards and tags to test NFC fuctionality, and I can use it for Digital key Automotive NFC fatures as per CCC requirements?. If the kit wont include NFC sample cards and tags how to test NFC features, and is it possible to procure NFC sample cards and Tags seperately

The secure features of the PN7642 are focused on secure key management, which makes possible the rotation from the default transport keys to application specific keys for encrypting the payload. You can refer to section 9.12.3 of the PN7642 Data Sheet to find out more about this feature.

For further information on Digital Key Car access and CCC requirements, please contact your local distributor form the Distributor Network in order to find out about suitable components for the application you need.

The sample tags and cards for testing the NFC feature are unfortunately not included in the OM27642EVK kit. However, you can refer to some of our partners in the Partner Directory or contact your local distributor as well to check product availability. You can look for products from our partners in the Partner Marketplace.

All the available example applications of the PN7642 including NFC examples are contained in the PN7642 MCUXpresso SDK which can be found in the PN7642 Product Page under Design Resources along with other relevant software packages. Please refer to the PN76 family evaluation board quick start guide to get a deeper understanding of the software and hardware configurations to be made in order to start developing with the OM27642EVK kit.
