Hi,

I'm new in the NFC world and I'm currently evaluating your NTAG I2C (www.nxp.com/demoboard/OM5569)

As far as I know, it is possible to lock the chip through NFC, so that it is "read only".

My question:

Is it possible through I2C to unlock the chip ?

Thank you in advance

Hello Patrick Terreaux:

As you mention the NTAG I2C tags have the static lock bytes and dynamic lock bytes to configure different regions of memory to "read-only" mode.

Once the lock bits are set to '1', this is irreversible from RF interface (NFC side), but the bits can indeed be reset to '0' from the I2C interface.

I hope this clarifies.

Have a good day!
