I need to send emails from my 52259EVB and I see there is an example for the TWR-MCF5225X.

If the boards use the same microcontroller, why cant I use the same example for my 52259EVB?

You can use telnet2ser_m52259evb.mcp and just replace the source files. That should be the simplest way to do it.
