Dear NXP Community,

The processor I use, MPC5745R, has 2x e200z425n3 and1 x e200z424.

This NXP site on E200cores:

https://community.nxp.com/discussion/create.jspa?question=false&suppressMarkQuestion=true&containerT...

briefly describes E200z0, E200z1, E200z3 and E200z6.

For lack of more information, I assume the e200z425/424 would fall in the E200z4 category. Where can I find core hardware/feature information for E200z4? Any other documentation on enabling and optimizing floating point operations would be a great help in debugging long delays in floating point calculations.

Thank you ,

JoyR

Hi David,

I just did a search for E200z4 in the NXP community page and that was one of the top 4 urls.

I also found your previous post on the same subject- e200z4 core features. Do you have similar training on e200z425 and e200z424 cores found in MPC5745R.

Thank you,

JoyR

I see.

Standalone core reference manuals exist for core used with MPC55xx/MPC56xx devices:

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/e200z760RM.pdf

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/e200z759CRM.pdf

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/E200Z6_RM.pdf

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/e200z4RM.pdf

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/e200z3RM.pdf

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/e200z1RM.pdf

http://www.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/e200z0RM.pdf

Also following training could be useful:

e200 Core Training relevant to MPC55xx and MPC56xx device family

I could recommend following two documents as addendum to documents above to cover MPC57xx:

http://www.nxp.com/files/training/doc/ftf/2014/FTF-AUT-F0345.pdf

http://www.nxp.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/app_note/AN4802.pdf

MPC57xx DEVICE reference manuals contain registers description for specific cores used with the device, but the description is rather simplified.

In case clarification or further description is needed I would recommend to ask here in the community or over technical support cases. We have some other documents that are indeed confidential, thus we cannot share it here.

Hope it helps

Hi David,

Thank you so much for sending me those references. This document is dated 2013 - do you have a later version?

I use MPC5745R and I don't see that processor in the table of devices and cores in any document. However, I do see "Future Device 1" with cores same as my MPC has. Can you confirm?

We do have an NDA in place  with NXP. What should I do to get the technical documents?

Best,

JoyR

Newer version does not exist.

Future device 1 is MPC5746R
Future device 2 is MPC5777C

If you have NDA, please create ticket and can discuss it in private:

https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-329745

However just to note, how I already said, core registers you have briefly described in device's reference manual, specifically section 8:
