MPC5744P: Example code for software full duplex UART using GPIO

Hi all,

does anyone have an idea where to find example code for a software UART (just using Rx and Tx) via GPIO pins?

Issue is that MPC5744P has only two LinFlex modules and in the application a third one is required for baudrates up to 115kbaud.

Here you can find an only example which is available for Panther UART at this time.

Hi Peter,

thanks. I found that one as well. However I'm looking for a piece of software where a UART can be emulated using 2 GPIO pins and timers and probably DMA to create a third UART for the device. The application requires three UARTs but on Panther only two are realized in hardware.
