As mentioned in the MPC5604E's reference mannual, it can take 1280x800 @ 30fps, can it process higher frame rate data at lower resolution, for eg. 640x480 @ 60fps or 564x756 @ 50fps.

yes, you can set lower resolution with higher frame rate. The only limitation is 100MHz clock at PDI camera interface.
