I am not sure what you are doing. To be sure you see reset escalation you can measure the reset pin by scope after power on reset. If it toggles then you have reset escalation cause by SWT in majority of the times.
This is the case when you have fresh sample, we enable SWT by default in NXP fab for 20ms.
If you have for example Lauterbach debugger you can use the "halt core on power on reset"script from drop menu.
