Hello
I am new to MCUXpresso IDE. All the demo video and documents ref. to demo boards. Where can I see detailed explanation how to create a project on bare board? I am using my own design board with KV46.
I tried creating KV46 zip with the SDK, and importing it to the IDE, but I am got strange error messages without writing a single code line!
Please help...
TIA
Hi TIA,
First KV46 needs to be supported by both MCUXpresso IDE and SDK.
when download SDK , we must be attention to set Toolchain as MCUXpresso IDE. I know many customers met build error because didn't define the correct toolchain.
after you install SDK, you can create a new project with referring attached video. this this not for KV but the method is the same.
Have a great day,
Jennie Zhang

Hi Jennie
After several weeks of trying a lot of solutions, I found-out that the IDE needs Internet connectivity to define the MKV46,
I installed the IDE on another computer which has Internet connection, and it works.
On the off-line computer I got messages that no MPU selected. (although I installed the SDK for the MKV46, pins and clock files). On the online computer it works good.
Is there a way to work off-line?
Hi Ben,
There is no absolute offline versions. If we need update the IDE or download SDK or purchase/active Pro edition features, an internet connection is necessary.
This is mentioned in MCUXpresso_IDE_Installation_Guide.pdf under the MCUXpresso install folder:

Thank you for the information. Does NXP have any offline solution like the CW I used for several years?
Hi Ben,
NO, not exactly same as CodeWarrior.
For MCUXpresso IDE, all the available install/patch packages are listed as below
