Hi,

I have TWR-K21F120MA.

This board is having “OSBDM/OSJTAG” interface.

I am trying to follow the steps as explained in “Kinetis Bootloader Demo Application User's Guide” (Document Number: KBTLDRDEMOUG).

Since our board does not support OPENSDA, can we use KinetisFlashTool application with TWR-K21F120MA?

I am not able to establish connection with TWR-K21F120MA from KinetisFlashTool application and proceed further.

Or

To use KinetisFlashTool application, is OPENSDA interface mandatory?

Regards

Srinivasa

Hi, Srinivasa, no such limitation. Please feel free to use it with any standard UART ports.

Best Regards,

Hi Fan,

Thanks for reply.

We are trying to follow the steps as mentioned in document “Getting Started with the Kinetis Flashloader (Document Number: KFLLDRUG)”.

As explained in “3.2 The host utility application - blhost”, we are not able to establish connection with K21 board.

We have PC recognizing the device is OSJTAG on COM9 but unable to send any commands

Are we missing anything?

Regards

Srinivasa

Hi Srinivasa,

I just observed that you may try to use the pre-programmed Flashloader, right?

If so, please ensure that the device is just with factory settings, and it is the first time for you to communicate the device with host tool. If you have erased the flash with debugging tool such as OSJTAG, the flashloader would have been erased.

Thanks,

Fan
