Does that mean you a 5.16 version working on tested on LS1021A-IOT?

Note that I think I have applied the configuration to the AR8031 properly (disable smartEEE, set XTAL).

I can see packet being received and sometimes answers back from within the driver. That part bother me a lot. Why would a received packet arp request  not get a replay from the kernel all the time?

Received packet can be corrupted because of some issue on the interface between PHY and MAC.

Are you saying that even with the checksum offload feature, the packet will be passed to the driver even if corrupted?

There is one instance when the FSL_GIANFAR_DEV_HAS_CSUM feature was disabled and saw arp request being replied. I have not been able to repeat it.
