No serial device detected - LS1046A-RDB

Hello,

We have an LS1046A-RDB board and are trying to run it from a flashed SD card.
When we plug in the console to a PC (we tried Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows 10, same results) we get no serial device detected, but we do get a mass storage device.

In the mass storage device (named BOOTLOADER) we see the file bootload.htm, and a folder named System Volume Information containing the file IndexerVolumeGuid.

We assume that the bootloader file is missing, and tried this solution.

We can read the files (and copy them to the file system on the host PC), but we can't copy any files into them, the window crashes, and dmesg shows the following:

The switches are set as detailed in the link provided earlier.

Please help, this problem prevents us from doing any work on the device.

Thanks in advance.

After many attempts, we figured out the problem.
The mini-usb port seems to be faulty, connecting using UART1 port (and setting DIPSW4[4]=0) worked.
