LPC based USB device doesn't work on windows8.1

I am using a development kit "LPC4357 Developer's Kit" and I have problems installing the USB driver in Windows 8.1.

I downloaded this file, "lpc18xx_43xx_winusb_drivers_v1.00_0.zip" from the webtsite of LPCXpresso, and I followed the recommended steps, but I keep getting errors in the driver.
The error message, of the driver is this:


""This device can not start. (Code 10)

The requested operation is not a valid operation for the target device."

You cannot debug a target without a debug probe. The LPC4357 Developers Kit does NOT have a debug probe built in.  You MUST use either LPC-Link1 or LPC-Link2 connected Like this

PC <--USB--> LPC-Link2 <--JTAG--> TARGET BOARD

Really wanted to say that I had installed the software LPC-link2. But we haven't the JTAG cable to use LPC-link2.
We are using an OEM plate and has only one cable for debugger and communication through USB.
All programs that are trying to check, do not have errors, all programs are provided by the manufacturer. The compilation is successful, just fails to hit the debugger.
For example we are currently trying to verify a project called "usbd_rom_cdc_vcom" and compiling the project is successful, hai no fault of libraries, or syntax, ... etc.
We do not understand why the debugger fails.

If so, then you should NOT be selecting LPC-Link1 for your debug session. Suggest you do the following:

- delete your existing launch configurations (remove the .launch files in your project)
- connect LPC-Link2 to your PC and connect the JTAG/WD cable to your target
- in the Quickstart panel, press the Debug [your_project] button

The debugger will automatically find and configure LPC-Link2 (known ad Redlink Server in the IDE) for debugging your target. This is described in the User Manual.

Which Debug Probe are you using? And LPC-Link1, LPC-Link2, or something else?

I selected as simulation emulator LPC-Link (WinUSB) but WinUSB driver installation, I get one error in the driver, "Error 10".
I think that without the driver wasnt installed correctly, the debugger may not work well.

What are you using as your debug probe? The error message is reporting that the debugger cannot find an LPC-Link1 debug probe.

Yes, I had already installed the latest version. But when I try to make the debugger I have a program I get this error:


" LPC-Link (WinUSB) or RDB-Link not found.
This could be because it is disconnected, not powered, or already in use"


I think it may be due to the driver! The evaluation board that I'm using is "LPC4357 Developer's Kit" and to this day we have not been able to communicate with the evaluation board.

There is a more recent version of this driver in the LPCXpresso installer. Please download and run the installer and it will automatically install the driver for this device. If this works for you, I will get the driver download updated.

Befor installing, I would recommend uninstalling the driver that you have already installed.
