Can someone explain how to use ISP commands to program NXP chips?
I am having trouble understanding what exactly is being written.
For example, i try the following using hyperterminal:

W 268439552 4
0

CATS
4
1

R 268439552 4
0

$ATS@45%1

516

Why does the read gives me weird letters? it also seems to give more then 4 bytes?

Any help is greatly appreciated, an example would be best.

Hi,
You didn't mention which chip you are working with, but there is an interesting app note on ISP
http://www.nxp.com/documents/application_note/AN10986.pdf
Hope you find it interesting.

Kind Regards,
