I have been going over the documentation for the LPC546xx and have a question about the Vdd needed for USB

this is on page 87 in the datasheet

pastedImage_1.png

It is mention that you need a higher voltage to use USB full-speed than the USB high-speed

any input to why this is the case ?

Hi, Mikkel,

This is my opinion, I think the full-speed USB of LPC546xx uses the old usb IP as the other old LPC family, because of historical reason, the old USB IP requires that VDD voltage must be in the range from 3.0V to 3.6V.

Hope it can help you
