My guess about the ideographs being Japanese being correct, it seems.
I had to use a machine translator, I don't speak or read any Japanese.

But icon sizes are a system setting, and not under control of individual applications.
Just right-click on the desktop, select "View", and there "medium icons" or "large icons".

Thank you for your response to my question.Is it possible to change the size of the IDE toolbar icons from the default size? They seem too small and I find it difficult to operate.
