LPC2214 Replacement Chip

Hi,

As per datasheet, LPC2214FBD144 chip not recommended for new design, For utilizing stock existing PCB we require alternate part number with pin to pin compatible.

Please suggest equivalent part number for the same.

Hi Rajan,

I’m afraid that there are no pin-to-pin replacements for LPC2214FBD144.

However, if you refer to the Product Longevity webpage at the link below, you could check that LPC2214FBD144 part was released on August 2007 and it is a 15-yar longevity device, so, it should be available until 2022:

As other option you could consider reviewing application notes AN10576 “Migrating to the LPC2300/2400 family” and AN10878 “Migrating to the LPC1700 series”.

Can we use LPC2292FBD144/01 chip instead of LPC2214FBD144/01?

As per datasheet both chip pin to pin is compatible, LPC2292 have additional CAN feature.

Please suggest the same

In such case, yes, they should be compatible, just considering the module differences. You could also refer to User Manual UM10114 for device-to-device comparative of LPC21xx and LPC22xx at the following link:
