Hi Joerg
uTaskerConvert generally is used with a magic number and a secret key (for basic header coding) [optionally also encryption settings as detailed at http://www.utasker.com/forum/index.php?topic=1445.0 ].
However, if only a magic number is specified (and no secret key) it performs a CRC over the raw code only. If you therefore don't add a secret key the check of the CRC should be done over the length of the file only and don't add any additional stream data (neither 0x00 nor 0xff, etc.)
Regards
Mark
