I see in sysinit() the clock configured from the external 50Mhz oscillator. On the schematics I see also crystal 12Mhz connected. What do we need it for? Can we omit the crystal?
From what I saw on the Schematics you can disconnect the 12Mhz as long as the MCGOUTCLK has a clock source.
in the schematics (5.1.1) at the bottom there is some information about this clocks and some restrictions. please check that sections and tell me if it works.
