Silicon rev difference in K22 series

Can you help in Difference between parts  MK22FN1M0VLQ12 & MK22FN1M0AVLQ12.

As per our comparison,we could find that the difference is only silicon revision  i.e blank for main and A for after main revision from datasheet.other all functions ,pin defenition s, footprint, thermal characterics, reliability  etc remains same.is our understanding correct?

currently we had struck in the design because of components non availability in market.

MK22FN1M0VLQ12 part is available from some suppliers but it is not recommended for new designs as per Nxp website and still in longivety program.

MK22FN1M0AVLQ12 is the part we planned for design but not available in the market.

so we are planning to use MK22FN1M0VLQ12 for proto development and then when the actual MK22FN1M0AVLQ12 is available will replace with that.

Will this  approach works or not?please comment
