SDK builder for FRDM-KL25Z is outdated

The most recent SDK version for the FRDM-KL25Z board (2.2.0) was updated on 2019, this current version is no longer working on the MCUXpresso VSCode extension. When importing repository as local archive and selecting the downloaded zip file contiaing the SDK. Error comes up saying "Selcted file is not a valid standalone SDK"

Thank you very much for bringing this problem to our attention. I will submit a Jira ticket to the internal team to check if they have any plans for an update.

Thanks for your patience.

I receive the reply from the internal team. They said there is no plan to further upgrade the KL25Z to latest toolsets. I'm afraid you have to continue using its SDK together with MCUXPresso IDE. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
