I have a question about memory on the MK50DN512CMC10. Does this device contain any non-volatile storage,

that can be used by the program (running out of program flash) to store a few hundred bytes of data, for example unique serial numbers and configuration information? I am a bit confused by the documentation. In the K50 Sub-Family Reference Manual, there is a table on page 99 (Section 3.5.1.2) that shows 4KB of FlexRAM in this device, but it has no FlexNVM. What storage resources are actually available?

Thanks.

Hi Damon,

    1. non volatile storage

Please go to page 636,  Program Flash IFR Map, there just has 64 program once field.

If you want to use the unique serial number, the K50 has the Unique Identification Register, it contains the chip UID.

  2. FlexRAM

You can find just MK50DX256CMC10 has the flexNVM and the FlexRAM, your chip is MK50DN512CMC10, it just has the Program flash.

So, if the 64bits IFR is not enough, you may use the flash to store your configuration information.

Wish it helps you!

Have a great day,
Jingjing
