KL17 drive strength enable bit

Using KL17.  What is the purpose/net effect of the drive strength enable (DSE) bit.  I don't see a block diagram, or any documentation as to what enabling this will do.  Do you have a description of the details of how this bit changes output power/switching speed/etc.

Assuming you mean the KL17 sub-family reference manual - already been there - no actual useful information around DSE.

It explains well enough how to set it, and what pins it's available onf, but doesn't actually tell what it does in specific terms.
