Greetings,
I'd like to ask a question of clarification on a spec.
In the Rev 4 Data Sheet for the KL03 (Document Number: KL03P24M48SF0), page 1 states:
"One I2C module supporting up to 1 Mbit/s, with double buffer"
However, on page 45 it states the maximum speed for SCL is 400kHz in Fast Mode under certain loading and drive strength conditions as indicated in notes 1 and 2.
Is it possible to achieve 1Mb/s speeds on the I2C, and if so, what are the conditions?
The reference module states the module can work up to at least "400 Kbits/s with maximum bus loading and timing. The I2C device is capable of operating at higher baud rates, up to a maximum of clock/20, with reduced bus loading". Taking into consideration bus clock is 24MHz: 24MHz/20= 1.2MHz.
