As long as this frdm board doesn't have a codec onboard, there is no any example using the SAI module in the SDK package. But you can base your example on other MCU. frdm-k66f does have a codec (Dialog) and in the SDK software it includes an SAI example, I would recommend you to download the software from the page:

And check the example under "driver example", it should use the same APIs that are with the K28 MCU. Please check it and tell me if you have any question about it.
