How To Read Laptop's Touchpad Movement From KL25Z Board

Hi everyone,

I want to do a project with FRDM-KL25Z board and I was wondering is it possible to read my laptop's touchpad data from the board? Like making the touchpad data as input and the board will do a task if I swipe left, let's say.

If it is possible to do so, I would appreciate your full explaination of requirements and steps.

Hi,

First of all, I suppose that you want to use PC to read the Touch pad movement on FRDM-KL25Z, the touchpad is connected to FRDM-KL25 instead of PC.

The KL25 has USB port, the PC USB can function as a host of HID class, the USB of FRDM-KL25 can function as device of HID class and send position of the touchpad in fixed cycle time.

On the PC side software, you can use C# or Python to develop the code, we do not support the firmware on PC side.
