As I know, the HEXIWEAR is using the MK64FN1M0VDC12 chip, this chip have the flexCAN module, so you can use the CAN function.
You can download the K64 SDK code, the link is:
https://mcuxpresso.nxp.com/en/select
Select the K64 chip, then generate the code and download it.
After you download it, you can find the flexCAN code in folder:
SDK_2.2_TWR-K64F120M\boards\twrk64f120m\driver_examples\flexcan
