As Development board for MK22FX512VLK12 is listed TWR-K21F120M with MK21FN1M0VMC12. At first I thought it's possible to remove it and solder the one I need, but they are not package compatible. So how it works? Is all code (except pin configuration) going to work on both of these MCUs?

Hello Lukasz Gosiewski:

Your understanding is correct, MK22FX512VLK12 is almost identical to MK21FN1M0VMC12, so you can use this board for evaluation without changing the chip, taking care of course that the pins you use are available in the K22 package you have.

The main difference in this case is the memory. MK21FN1M0 does not have FlexNVM memory, so if you really need to test this functionality some alternatives are:

- Create your custom board for MK22FX512VLK12. This is the best option.

- Get a tower board which has a Kinetis MCU with FlexNVM, but just to get familiar with this functionality. Examples: TWR-K20D72M, TWR-K20D50M.

- :smileyalert: Get samples of MK22FX512VMC12 and change the chip. This NOT recommended and NOT supported by Freescale. Try under your own risk:smileyalert:

Again this is only if you need FlexNVM.
