For those who, like myself, didn't know how to change the compiler language settings to GNU ISOC90, I've created a short post explaining it here:
Sorting out asm(); in KDS: How to change your compiler language to GNU ISO90
Is there a way to set this as the default for any new projects aswell?
Hi David,
thanks for that suggestion. I thought that the 'Version' button on the right upper side would do this (a diff between different versions). It does for me, but when I wanted to see that diff without being logged in, the button was not enabled. Is that button working for you, or does it only work for the author of a document (not sure?)?
Otherwise, the latest change was this add-on:
Q: The RPM Linux installation file has the *.i686.rpm extension, does this mean that it is a 64bit installation?
A: No, it means that it runs on ix86, where i686 as a more recent version than the (old) i386. Both Linux packages for KDS (_i386.deb, .i686.prm) are 32bit packages. A 64bit package would be x86_64.

Either there are missing steps or this is not accurate. l am using Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit (are there real people still using 32bit linux desktops ?). I am extremely fluent with Linux, Eclipse is not even close to my prefered IDE, but I have used it without all the problems that assorted Freescale permutations have.
I have installed the latest KDS from Freescale.
If I download and install KSDK as described, KDS is never able to find whatever it needs. in the archive.
I can also try to install KSDK or KDS updates by adding the Freescale site. Then I get partway through updates and get a bunch of missing file errors.
