freeMaster MCAT

While using freeMaster for motor control (MCAT) I am getting communication port error.(look at the attachment)

Please suggest a method to tackle this.

There was absolutely no problem in the MCAT or FreeMaster. I figured out that another software I installed somehow changed my COM port setting of windows. I restarted my pc and also reset my device settings and it worked perfectly afterwards.

can you describe what motor control hardware kit do you use and how is it connected to the PC?

Anyway, you shoud be to use FreeMASTER "Connection Wizard" in the Tools menu to get you connected. The Connection Wizard is able to probe all serial ports (COM ports) and try to establish connection.
