When configuring the can communication plugin, connection characters cannot be generated. Is there a new version of the can communication plugin for replacement?

Hello,

the error you show is a sign of wrong FreeMASTER installation. Please re-install the latest version (3.2.6) as administrator.  If you already have the latest version installed, you can fix the plug-in registration by running the "register.bat" as administrator. The register.bat is typically located in installation folder c:\NXP\FreeMASTER 3.2\FreeMASTER.

The version 3.2.6 brings updated CAN communication plug-in, which also supports CAN-FD mode for some host interfaces (IXXAT, Kvaser and ZLG).

When I downloaded the latest version (3.2.6), it showed that the installation was unsuccessful. However, when I installed the previous version again, the installation was successful。So I kept the new version of the plugin and put it in the old version, and the initial problem occurred

let's try to solve the 3.2.6 installation issue. There are some typical issues when re-installing new versions described in this post.

Can you try to un-install the older version first, then clean/remove the C:\Program Files (x86)\Zero G Registry\.com.zerog.registry.xml file as discussed in that post?

After this, try to install 3.2.6 as administrator.

The error=5 typically means "Access is denied" - for some reason your system does not allow plug-in registration. Do you run your installer "as administrator" ?

As a experiment, please start command line prompt "as administrator", then 'cd' to "c:\NXP\FreeMASTER 3.2\FreeMASTER" and run register.bat.

Start "cmd" command line prompt "as administrator", then 'cd' to "c:\NXP\FreeMASTER 3.2\FreeMASTER" and run register.bat.

Yes, the same as yours

It is not the same - notice the error messages in your output.

Please run this command in the same console:

       regsvr32 mcbobjps.dll

You shoud get a success message window. (but you will most likely get an error message):

Please share the output screenshot (You can use a pritnscreen key to get a screenshot to a clipboard and then Ctrl+V to message) .

the error code 0x80070005 means Access Denied.  I suspect you have not used the "Run as administrator" when running the cmd.

Locate the register.bat file in Windows Explorer and run it "as administrator".
