I believe the JTAG debug module CWH-UTP-ONCE that we use with the 56F8367 should work with the TWR-56F8400 - however, the 14 pin header has all 14 pins present whereas the ONCE connector has one pin blocked. Is the ONCE compatible if we cut the corresponding pin?

Hi,

The CWH-UTP-ONCE device can be used to debug both MC56F83xx and MC56F84xxx, the blocked pin on the JTAG connector of the CWH-UTP-ONCE device is to avoid that the JTAG connector is inserted reversely. The RED line of the 14 pin cable is the pin1 for the CWH-UTP-ONCE device.

I have verified the CWH-UTP-ONCE device does work. We cut pin 8 from the JTAG connector.
